Midlife Crisis
May. 3rd, 2003 04:05 pmI could have been 20 years older - there I was in brand my new trainers, baggy t-shirt with smartarse logo on it and shorts that were probably a bit too tight for me - going red and puffing my way around the squash court dodging projectiles smashed in my direction by an attractive young lady who knew the game better than me.
Squash is one of those games people only come back to after a break, and mainly when they reach the point where they're not quite ready for the golf club but want to do some kind of activity without admitting that they're any less fit than they were when they were 21.
Still, I even won a game, which is surprising, and didn't have a single heart attack.
That can only be good.
