Last night I had the pleasure of the "third unexpected nice thing someone has said about me this year".

I'm anxious not to base my personal happiness on other people's opinions, but it is ok to massage ones own ego a little?

I should write them down really in case I forget.

Spare me! "The ego canna take it Cap'n".

Actually there's been some other occasions when some people have said "Thank you" to me which has been most gratifying - and I didn't want the post to sound like I was looking for ego massage - so perhaps it's just the three interesting comments that have made me glow so far, or at least stop and appreciate.

Maybe a "Say interesting nice things about Simon" poll, or I could ask for compliments for my Birthday :-)

Doppelganger I'm afraid. The only daylight I've seen in London today is between St James' Park tube and the office - which is about 20m.
