Bah Humbug
Oct. 14th, 2003 09:34 amI love public transport - honest.
However things were a little strained after this morning when despite leaving home at 6:10am I didn't get to work until 9:25am.
First there was sitting behind a freight train (itself 68 minutes late) between Leamington Spa and Banbury - it excited the Train Manager so much he pointed it out ("On your left we're passing the train that caused us all these delays"), then there was a train in front of us broken down at Oxfrod station - well, kinda broken down - they'd fixed it but couldn't let it move off until they'd found the right paperwork.
Joy of joys. The only redeeming feature was I had my laptop with me so could listen to my set for this evening again. I call it a set but at 20 minutes I suspect more of a setette (similar to a settee except not so comfortable to sit ion.
