Brief break from "Alone against the mess"
Dec. 27th, 2004 04:52 pmYesterday was tidying and shifting; today is re-de-re-jumbling. Yikes.
However, this morning I did go and see House of Flying Daggers.
Opinion? Not bad. It is however no Hero or Crouching Tiger. It's quite pretty in places; it's interesting if very slowly paced; but it's more the plot for an episode of the A-Team than for a feature film.
All that plus special appearances from "Our Lady of Wailing Woman Soundtracks", "Artrerial Spray by Quentin Tarantino" and this year's best contender for the "Nicole Kidman (Moulin Rouge) award for "Get on with it!" extended death sequences.
For £2.95 though - can't complain ...
