Star Trek - Nemesis
Jan. 3rd, 2003 02:35 pmWas amusing enough fun.
I'd be forewarned by
pax_draconis about how it was very much a re-hash of an earlier film, which I can see, but to me it also had great similarities with John Boorman's Excalibur. Despite being trite and obvious in places it kept me occupied, though I thought in the middle of the film the resolution would be different from the usual "phasers followed by unarmed combat between two main protagonists" - how wrong could I be...
Effects were good, and now we know what is behind the viewscreen on the bridge.
I'll save further fanboy nonsense for another time, and if I stop here I can claim that I'm not a fanboy at all...

I liked their insect-chitin like armour though - changing colours under the light were v.pretty.

LegoManLegolas?? Hope it's not Aragorn for two reasons:1) He's bloody rough and ugly and unwashed
2) All my men friends seem to fancy him instead of Legolas
And, yes to the comment about the suits in Nemesis... all shiny and purple and green, and and and... :D
