I, Claudius
May. 25th, 2005 02:29 pmA little more time on trains and I've watched some more "I, Claudius" on DVD.
Gosh it's both jolly good and jolly frightening. The acting is delivered with a fantastic understated confidence and has moments of beautiful subversion.
Even that paragon of Federation virtue Captain Picard is a bit of a wrong 'un.
More I say, more!

Date: 2005-05-25 04:17 pm (UTC)Sadly Cap'n Picard, while wonderfully seedy and threatening in I Claudius, still reminds me of his role in Confessions of a Window Cleaner, which tends to undermine the performance for me :-)
