I've just been inspected! Well, not me personally as that would not be the kind of thing I would write about in a public journal. Probably anyway.

Anyayw, actually what I mean is that I've been to the primary-school-where-I-am-vice-chair-of-governors to be grilled by an Ofsted inspector about how the school and governors run. After a shaky start (no-one was sure which committees they were actually on!) it was quite positive. At least, I managed to shamelessly insert half-a-dozen buzzphrases into conversation while keeping a straight face.

I would write more, but Photoshop is making this run very slowly while it goes through last nights photos from Alice. Summary of the experience was:

  • Twisted Sister - Nasty noise, but at least interacted with the crowd

  • Alice Cooper - Better noise, but lousy sound and no effort paid to the crowd
More soon no doubt.

I used to like Twisted Sister when I was in sixth form. We used to annoy everyone in the common room with it, along with WASP. Nowadays they sound a bit raw and primitive to me - but I'm not sure anything can compare to Nightwish.

I'm going to Alice/TS tonight, having wangled a press ticket from a friend. Last time I saw Alice it was a really good show and I enjoyed it despite not being a particular fan so interested to hear that you weren't impressed. I'm mainly going to see TS for the first time as I've got quite a soft spot for them, although I do think Dee Snider is a dreadful old hypocrite to have got the band back together after slagging off other bands for having done the same!!

My friend [livejournal.com profile] wiseoldbob is quite high up in coporate resources for a national rail company. He delights in going to 'power meetings' and making up 'buzz words' to counter those used by others. Hilarously they always act like they know what he is talking about.

What a deliciously evil, subversive thing to do.

Evil & wrong, I say! It's behaviour like that that means these things keep propagating. We must stop it now!
