Ho hum, maybe staying up late messing with Photoshop does not lead to good sleep.

Anyway - fantastic weekend including a little walk, fine company, some booze, curry tonight with different fine company and recovery from the M6 being not too bad on a Sunday afternoon.

Car has been returned from [livejournal.com profile] pax_draconis - and seems to be in good condition - though is strangely missing the aerial - which seems to have restricted its reception of Radio 4.

Anyway - first (very rough and ready) cut of the photos of the weekend linked here, and a few of my favourites behind the cut.

Nice pics, though the crow on the bottom one does shatter the illusion of a fek off big mountain. Although I appreciate that the pic is taken near the peak...

Raven not crow, and they coexist with buzzards hence fairly high up. And that photo isn't near the summit I don't think. It was (for England) a fek off big mountain (2600ft) though we didn't start at the bottom.

What magic meant you starter half way up? ;-)

I really like The slatey Ruin, the blue slate, dark wood and red background make it quite striking. Love the lone lintel, my congratulations to your set dresser:)

Did it ever have an aerial? I'd never noticed one, so assumed it came without one.

If it's been kifed, I'll get a replacement.

Wasp-tail aerial, same as the Rover. There's two possibilities:

1) I unscrewed it to take the car through a car-wash - but I usually use jet washes over car washes, and don't remember doing so.

2) It's been kifed.

I'll make some enquiries - hopefully have you a replacement by Friday.

This does explain why I could never get decent reception on the radio, though. Did you find my hidden present?

Aah, give it time to mature, like good Camembert.

The door pockets, BTW, are exactly as you left them - I didn't know what was and wasn't rubbish so left as is.

Rar! I love the first one the most. Very dramatic. Will have a look at the others later.

Believe it or not, I did actually manage to appreciate the beauty of the place at the time, despite my lower body beng wracked with pain... ;)

Your pictures capture it [the beautty] bloody well, too.
