It's presumably one of those "what is art to given person" issues; to me many of these pics seem oddly composed, in so far as I would either crop down into more detail, or have tried for a wider image.

Plus I like what may be termed by you yung ppl; "geetar pr0n". More full length instruments glist-tening under the par-cans, or norty machinehead closeups please.

I'm sure nortysarah will have comments, but I like to leave some space around images - especially where the pose is looking "somewhere". But it is about taste and I can see where a tighter crop would be more pleasing.

I was mainly shooting with one (wide) lens which is fixed length because of the astonishingly poor light - hence a lack of variety in shots.

I'm trying to get a photo-gig at a larger venue soon, with a bigger band and better lighting. But then I'll still probably "close it down" with black and white, heavy shadows, etc.
