I'm not sure that I'm looking forward to this weekend, I certainly could have done with a couple more hours sleep (as seems now to be the one consistent truth of my life).

This week has involved a fair amount of variety - going from place to place with the benefit of quite ~enthusisatic~ discussions on my LJ for entertainment. Tuesday I spent the day in Shrewsbury - being mostly bored; Wednesday off the London and despite a heroic last minute effort failing to get confirmation of a photo pass for Queen Adreena. Instead I pottered south of the river to spend a delightful couple of hours watching Hellraiser with [livejournal.com profile] duranorak. Now, I'm sure this was a horror film when I was younger - and now seems to have, in the transition to DVD, become a Clive Barker-wank fantasy (cf Quentin Tarantino and Kill Bill). Not that this is a bad thing. Rat abuse and the hand/nail interface were far worse than the hooks, chains and Cenobites. Mmm - Cenobites. Imdb tells me there are now 8 movies in the series - oh dear.

Yesterday I spent causing trouble in a conference - by asking some obvious questions that the speakers clearly didn't want to (and indeed didn't) answer, then giving up the chance of another day doing the same to rush back to Brum for Mortiis/Susperia/Projekt which was actually quite fun. Admittedly "seeing the bands" was on a par (at best) with seeing [livejournal.com profile] holaholaamigos, [livejournal.com profile] zevbofb3k and Tom. As well as geeking about networks and photography there were Norwegian death metal/black metal band Susperia sing "Take on Me" and Mortiis who was more metal and less ~new electronic influences~ than I'd have hoped. Still, pictures soon you'll all be pleased to here - and they had the nicest tour manager I've met so far. Highlight though was [livejournal.com profile] zestyboi introducing someone to me who said she liked my infest pics! Woo!

([livejournal.com profile] zerstyboi who was it? I was in a flap about having lost the others so was a bit dsitracted)

I'm more inspired to try and do some portrait photography - so friends beware... now I must pack.

We'll bring you back some rain water in a bag, mud in a bucket and a random LRPer so you can relive the experience?

The German girl and her b/f? unfortunately I've forgotten their names (again) but [livejournal.com profile] snow_cvrd_heart might remember ;-)

I'd like nice portraits. Ones without wrinkles.
