Not deliberately. berrega wrote the meta tags I use in my site, which do include my name, but I only noticed by looking through my logs and following up the hits from Google searches.
I have come to accept (given the fact I don't mention my name on my own website, and that it rarely appears elsewhere, and that there are a lot of John Scotts in the world) that unless I do something very newsworthy or very stupid, Google will pass me by.
There's more of me than there was. Putting in my old name there are only six references it picks up world wide. Know however... Although I'm still not as common as some.
im actually very very glad that i get hits against the real me at all.. i dont think it appears anywhere.. and for the nicks one had the attraction that youd have to wade through pages of artprint.com etc first.
The receptionist put through a call on Monday from Simon White which I took with some curiosity. He was a recruitment consultant. Cunning use of your name I thought; sneaky thief.
