[On the train, which is 40 minutes late getting from Birmingham to Coventry - 60 minutes rather than 20]

On Saturday I spent some time pretending I knew how to take photographs with

charlie_mouse for her not-so-sekrit new venture.

The bulk of the photos aren't really for LJ consumption (appearing at a website near you soon) but here's two. I'm assuming they're worksafe but if anyone complains I'll put a warning and a cut up.

EDIT: Cut for size. Discussion on whether male nipples are any more or less worksafe will follow in comments.

I think I would have had your lovely model lower his chin and brows and tilt his face downwards a bit on the second one, and a greater depth of field would have allowed you to focus on his face as well as the boot. Alternatively less depth of field would have made it clearer where you were focussing. I would also have straightened the sheet under his feet so as not to detract from the boots.

The first one I can find nothing to complain about.

I actually really like both of them though. The pose on the second one is lovely for showing off the outfit.

I suppose I'd better come clean and admit the second one was posed by

charlie_mouse - not me at all - and as you imply to show off the boots and jacket rather than the model (who might well be anonymised for the final pic she's going to use). I just did a bit of Photoshop and some basic camera positioning.

The first one was just cropped a tiny bit from the original image. I did experiment a little with cropping to change the vertical position of the nipple, but in the end left it pretty much where it was shot.

I have to admit of all the coat /boot shots (which are titled "Gay Man Invades Poland" in my head, that's the one with the facial expression I like least. Cos, as Kneeshooter says, I wasn't expecting my face to be seen, I wasn't really posing with my face, just my body.

But there will be other chances (and other images) later.
